Jatra pabni a Koch Rajbanshi Festival
Jatra pabni also known as dashain in Nepali is festiaval of koch people in Nepal and all over the world. It is celeberated on the month of october /November every year.Dashai is featival in which goddess durga is worshiped for peace and prosperity of family.First day of jatra pabni starts with Maha puja in which goddess durga is offerred with different fruits flowers and sweets by visiting Nearest goddess durga temples.People also offers piegon, goats etc to goddess durga but these days offering birds and animals is slowly banned by animal lovers.On this festival people from differeng part of the world who are going to work also come their home to celebrate this festival in their home with friends and family members. They celebrates this festival with their friends and family and forget their work pressure and tensions and returens back to their work/place with good memory and refreshed. Except koch it is also widely celebrated by the santals of this area.They also participate in different form of traditional dances and increase the charm of Jatra pabni. Next day of jatra pabni starts by visiting friends and family .on this day people also visits different Mella and enjoy with their friends and family.On this festival people also prepares different varieties of foods and invite friends and family for delicious food and enjoy with them.
Mellas/Bazaar in different places

1st day:On the first day after Mahanawami the first Mela happens in Rajgadh i.e Rajgadh mella. also on the same day it also happens in Ghailadubba i.e ghailadubba Mella.People from different places visits both rajgadh and ghailadubba mela on this day.
2 nd day : Garamani mela is one of the visited mela by most of the people of jhapa which is situated on the way to birtamoad bhadrapur road.
3 rd day: On the third day "Charali" mella happens in charali (charali is the place in between birtamode and kakarvita) .
4th day:on this day various mellas happens in different places.Dangibari mella in dangibari,Baishabari mella in Baishabari and Charpane mella in Charpane itself.Similarly,
Phool Bari Mella
: The last day of Mella or Jatra pabni happens on purnima.On this day, Most loved and most visited mella happens in phoolbari i.e last day of mellas.Every year more than 10 thousand peoples from different part of this place visits this mella with enjoyment.
In this festival people forgets the enimity and celebrates the featival with love and joy with everyone. Everyone forgets their problems and enjoys the festival by visiting their nearest and dearest one.
Note: Above listed mellas are not only mellas that happens in jatra pabni. Those are only few examples of mellas which is listed above.Different Mellas Happens in different places of jhapa morang and sunsari and whole Nepal during this Period.
